Suitable for practitioners with a minimum of 6 months' experience, this Jivamukti Yoga workshop seeks to explore how cultivating an attitude of gratitude can positively transform our experiences of life on and off the mat.
The workshop includes a vigorous asana practice sequenced around postural work that really emphasises the theme. We will see how ancient yoga philosophy including the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, as well as modern philosophical systems tackle the challenges of life.
We will work through pranayama techniques to aid more functional breathing, mindfulness practices and meditation techniques to look at how to deal with 'the mind'. The workshop will conclude with us each developing an achievable home practice and daily gratitude journal. All journaling materials will be provided.
*please bring a yoga mat, warm outdoor clothing in case we do a walking meditation and an open mind.
